Bachelor of Education

Bachelors of Education,popularly referred as B.Ed., is a two-year full-time degree course that is essential for candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and other related fields. B.Ed is mandatory for all those who want to teach in primary and secondary schools. National Council for Teacher Education is a statutory body which delegates and regulates programmes in teaching across the country.

Eligibility Criteria:

UP JEE B.Ed 2026 eligibility requires candidates to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) from a recognized university. Engineering / Technology graduates require at least 55% marks. Final year students are eligible, and there is no upper age limit. Candidates must ensure they meet these requirements, as they are verified during the counseling process.

National Council for Teacher Education is a statutory body which delegates and regulates programmes in teaching across the country.

Eligibility Criteria:

Intermediate or equivalent examination with commerce or intermediate or equivalent with economics or mathematics as one of the subjects of study. For General and Other Backward Classes candidates must secure atleast 40% of marks and for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes minimum number of marks obtained should be 36% based on total marks of all subjects.
